Bedrooms.

Having a well-organized bedroom is essential for creating a peaceful and serene space. Decluttering and arranging your belongings in an orderly manner, promotes a sense of relaxation and calmness. Utilizing storage solutions such as closet organizers, and wall-mounted shelves can help keep your belongings neat and tidy. Consider investing in multi-functional furniture pieces that offer both storage and style, such as a storage ottoman.
By implementing these organization tips, you can create a tranquil and organized bedroom environment that promotes a restful sleep and clear mind. An organized, less cluttered bedroom is beneficial to our health as we sleep more peacefully, 'clutter and disorganization' creates a sense of disharmony and stress. To create a sense of peace, harmony conducive to a good nights sleep, use neutral colours on the walls, ceilings, curtains, blinds etc. And of course, the less 'clutter' around you the better.
A bedroom is a special place where we can close the door and escape the noisiness, the busyness of everything going on around us. A place to relax and unwind. It should feel welcoming, peaceful, harmonious, dreamy and romantic to create a sense of intimacy and togetherness yet also be conducive to a good nights sleep.
Place the bed in the command position, opposite the entrance (or the next best place), so you can easily see who comes in and out of the room. Also avoid having your feet in line with the entrance of the door.
To create a sense of 'togetherness', place items in two's. Two bedside tables/drawers, Two cushions upon the bed, Two lights - one on each side of the bed. Two pictures above the head of the bed (not too big or overpowering).
When it comes to get a good nights sleep we need to be aware :
Our bedroom should be a place of peace and harmony to help us 'unwind and relax'. Peaceful, calming colours on the walls, sheets, blankets, quilts and pillows will help us to sleep better. Cleanliness and orderliness make 'going to bed' an attractive and welcoming occasion.
Too many distractions such as a TV, Laptop, Tablets, IPAD and our mobile phone's are not conducive to a good nights sleep. If we must have them in our bedrooms, consider buying a TV unit that has doors which can be closed and confine these things to that area, closing the doors, just prior to sleep. sleep. These things are more suitable for the 'busy' areas/rooms in our homes.
Fountains, fish tanks and artwork of oceans, rivers - these are representative of constant energy flow, the kind that keeps us awake/alert etc. which is also not conducive to a good nights rest/deep sleep. I love them too but the bedroom is not the ideal place for them if you wish to have a really good sleep. These too are best placed in the more 'busy', areas/rooms in our homes.
Time out. All work no play?

We all need to make time to relax, whether that's a hotel stay away for a night or two, wining and dining and enjoying yourself, hiking, the gym, arts/crafts and hobbies, reading or just having 'time out'. In order to be able to free up and 'create time for ourselves' and what we want and need to do to relax, we first need to get our schedules organized and actually 'book in time out' to do so.
To Do Lists, Diaries, Goal Planners - electronic and books/hardware - are all useful things to get into the habit of using (if we haven't done so already). Listing our priorities in order of importance, (our 'must do's) help us to concentrate on getting those things done. We also don't forget anything. As we tick off our completed tasks we begin to feel better and gain a sense of achievement. Other, less important stuff will then go to the top of our lists and we can begin them a little later (as they're not so important) and take a little time off.
If we also 'book in' or allocate time for our 'self care' appointments such as hairdressers, manicures, pedicures, dentistry, medical appointments/checkups, we've already allowed time for these and can focus on life's more enjoyable things like 'lunch with the girls or family', going out for dinner, bbq's, booking in that weekend away with our spouse.
